Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is an engaged community of faith, at work throughout Roanoke and the greater community. With groups of people putting their collective gifts to good use, our small congregation feels close and intimate. All are welcome to join this community of faith.

Fifth Avenue is a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the largest Presbyterian denomination in the country and a part of the reformed tradition. We are committed to affirming the dignity and humanity of every person, and strive to create a welcoming environment for all God’s children.

Our Ministries
Celebrating 125 Years of Faith & Service
We want you to feel connected at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church! That happens as you get to know the people and the staff at the church but, beyond that, it happens as you find your place to serve the Lord and make a difference in the lives of others. We have ministries in the church that exist to serve those who attend our church, but they also provide ways in which you can be a part of serving others. Please contact the church at 540-342-0264 if you would like additional information about any of these ministries. These important ministries include:
Bible Study Ministry
Forming Faith Bible Study meets each Tuesday evening at 6 p.m.at the church throughout the year. Led by our Pastor, Reverend Vernie Bolden, Jr.it is an in depth study of the Scriptures. All are welcome to join and participate.
Women's
Ministry
As an organization the Women's Ministry is guided by the Presbyterian Women's Purpose, and that includes ministry, resources and relationships. The Women's Ministry is intertwined in all aspects of Church life. Each year their activities are culminated and celebrated with a Women's Day Celebration in the Spring of the year.
Knowing that our youth are our future, our church provides a strong and unique youth ministry which is open to members of our church as well as members of the community. Offering unique Christian learning experiences at the church during the school year, additional enrichment is offered through offsite field trips.
